Good bands are hard to come by, but Foreigner are beyond good and beyond words. Formed in 1976 and over 70 million albums sold worldwide, Jeff Pilson gives Reminiscin' the 'Inside Information' on Foreigner's backstage antics, what to expect from their current tour and what's up their musical sleeves. Not foreign to success, Foreigner became universally hailed as one of the most popular rock acts ever. With their abundance of multi-platinum albums and sold-out concerts, Foreigner are a delightful phenomenon.

As decades pass by, Foreigner still progressively conquer the stage and still remain alight with fans. Now, with new additions to their band's line up it can only mean that the regrouped sensations are continuing with their Rock n' Roll kudos.

Reminiscin' caught up with the Rock n' Roll legend, Jeff Pilson and found out about his intelligible interest of politics and metaphysics, why the Muse amuses and Jeff's encounter with a portable toilet!

WOW - you guys are touring again! What can we expect?
A high energy, powerful, FUN Rock show!! All the hits!

What's a Foreigner tour like backstage and on the road?
It's all about the music these days- the days of Soddom and Gommorrah backstage are long gone!!

What is a typical Foreigner fan like?
That's too hard to categorize. There's the middle aged to the very young- which is a huge surprise. But I have been seeing more and more young kids lately- and they know all the words!

How do you combine family life with touring?
With patience and a saint for a wife!

What else do you spend your time on apart from music?
I read a lot about politics and metaphysics.

What other creative outlets do you have in your life?
A two year old needs constant creative stimulation.

What's your greatest passion apart from music?
My family - hands down!

What current bands or artists do you rate right now?
I LOVE Muse- can't get enough.

What do you think about where rock music is this decade?
There's some amazing music out there. I like the fact that melody is real strong right now. The new My Chemical Romance is a trip - it's Queen for punk kids!

Can you tell us any memorable video- making moments?
Being sick beyond belief during the making of Dokken's Its Not Love video. They had to send a portable toilet around with the location truck as it drove around LA while we set up and played. How embarrassing!

What do you think of music videos these days?
I very rarely watch, so not a good one to ask!

What part of the world is your favourite to tour in and visit?
Australia may be a new favorite - what a great place! But I love everywhere, as long as it sounds good.

What, in your opinion is the best record cover art ever?
I love the Yes Roger Dean covers - so mood-evoking and futuristic.

What is the Best Rock movie? One that really shows it how it is?
Spinal Tap is my fave and the funniest, but there were moments of authenticity in Rockstar that I think are hard to find.

In Australia, your song 'Cold as Ice' has been re-made to advertise
beer. What do you think of that?!

Well it's not a song I wrote, so my opinion is inconsequential on that one. But that kind of thing doesn't really bother me.

Do you know what love is now?
Finally - yes!

What's next for Foreigner?
A CD of new material to come hopefully by summer, then touring 'til our arms fall off!!
